Google announced this year’s summer of code competition, that in it’s 3 years lifetime has been extremely fruitful in software production. Actually, I have been using in production environment, some of the drupal modules developed with this particular motivation enhancement program, with my favourite being Taxonomy Manager. All you folk our there, considering yourself emerging geeks, I would advise to give it a try. After all (take my word of advice) if you are planing joining this job, having a hole summer to develop something considering every single aspect of its design, you will not be able to do it many times again in your life as a professional developer.
